I would like to introduce everyone to one of the finest students here at Long Island Baptist Academy… Brooke! You may hear fellow classmates or family members call her by the name Bob, since that’s her nickname. Brooke is currently in fifth grade and among her many subjects, Bible is her favorite. Our school’s annual visit to Old Bethpage Village and the visit to the IMAX Theater of the Air and Space Museum were two of her most memorable and fun school experiences. Speaking of fun, on Thursdays Brooke’s class gets to do some fun things and therefore it’s her favorite day of the week! Brooke is also a faithful customer to the school’s exceptional snack shop. Her favorite snack she buys is popcorn. Brooke’s favorite meal to eat is chicken parmesan and maybe she will soon be able to prepare us a delicious dinner, since she is considering being a chef when she grows up! But Brooke’s ideal dream for her future is to become a missionary’s wife. Here are some of the words her fellow students used to describe their friend: kind, funny, good friend, sweet, great personality, friendly, active, nice, energetic, happy, smart, and adventurous. Here’s what her teacher, Mrs. Graf had to say about her student, “Brooke is as beautiful in spirit as she is in person. She adds so much to our class with her cheerful, cooperative, and friendly ways. As a teacher, I know her to be respectful and a very good girl. She has a great sense of humor and a great sense of expression which adds so much to the spirit of the school.”
In closing, I would like to say that Brooke’s favorite thing about our school is that everybody is kind to each other and that we learn very good lessons every morning in opening exercises that we can apply to our lives.
