This is an interview with Bernhard, a sixth grade student who excels at science and math. Bernie has high expectations for himself because he either wants to be a doctor, a cook, or a politician. Bernhard enjoys reading and playing with his siblings when he has some free time. In school, Bernie really loves challenging his classmates in a nice game of chess. Bernhard, a chess phenom, participates in chess tournaments frequently.

Bernie’s favorite school activity is the Christmas party. His meal of choice would be a malt milkshake and pizza! That’s quite a unique dish, huh? Bernie believes that our school is different from other schools because we are taught the Bible and we focus on loving the Lord.

Bernhard’s friends think he’s funny, a good friend, kind, and fun to be around.

Mrs. Graf says, “I have been Bernie’s teacher all throughout elementary school. It’s sad for me to think this is his last year in my class. Bernie has added so much fun to our lives. He has so many varied interests which make him a really interesting guy! I have beaten him at chess, though he would rather admit it, and even after all these years of being in my class he still doesn’t like chocolate! Bernie is one of the nicest, funniest boys you will ever meet. I am glad I’ve gotten to know him!"
